“Today’s the day,” said Eeteuk, looking out at the oncoming patch of land.
“Today’s the day!” shouted Kangin, stabbing a knife down onto his map. “We’ll be free from those she-men!”
“Something’s gonna go wrong…” mumbled Kyuhyun, staring out at the nearing island, “I can feel it in the pit of my stomach.”
“Christ, don’t ruin the moment, Kyu,” said Yunho, smacking the boy on the shoulder, “Let’s be optimistic about it! You want women, don’t you?”
“Yes, but…I dunno, I just think something’s gonna go wrong,” repeated Kyuhyun. He shook his head and sighed. “I need something to drink.” He looked around. “Where’s Yoochun?”
“Elite’s quarters. Catching up on some sleep,” answered Yunho, “Had issues with the she-devil and couldn’t get any sleep last night. Why don’t you ever have any problems with yours?”
“Trust me, I have my full share of problems,” said Kyuhyun, rolling his eyes, “But I was fed up with him, so I chained him to the bed in a very un-suggestive and not-kinky-whatsoever way, and snuck him some poison to take away his voice for a few hours.”
“Efficient.”
“Very.”
“Change of plans.”
Eeteuk looked up from his book.
“Hm?”
“You’re coming with me,” said Kangin, walking over to the pretty boy and grabbing his arm. “We’re at Pearl Blue Isle.”
“Wait, but I thought I wasn’t allowed off,” said Eeteuk, somewhat suspicious. I mean, it was all the better for him and his friends if they were let off, but the sudden change of heart was uncommon for pirates.
“Don’t complain. You said you wanted fresh air, right?” questioned Kangin, pulling the other out of the library. “So let’s go.”
“What about my friends?”
“They’re coming too, don’t worry.”

The island was smelly, unsightly, and simply barbaric.
Jaejoong cringed at the dirtiness of the place.
Eeteuk shot a glare at Kangin.
“This is not ‘fresh air’!” he said, frowning, “It smelled better on the ship! Which is a big achievement for the vessel!”
“Yes, well, you can’t be picky,” grumbled Kangin, quite through with the other’s complaints. He looked back at his fellow elite, and to make sure none of their crew was nearby.
Eeteuk turned and glanced at his friends.
“We’ll take them to the Tavern and go to the backroom—there’s never anyone there. Then we’ll just kill ‘em off and leave,” said Kangin to the Elite. “No one will find out, and if we bribe Shindong enough, he’ll confiscate the evidence.”
“Remember; when I drop my bracelet to the floor we run for it,” said Eeteuk to his friends, “No looking back. Just run as fast as you can.”
The group approached a large building. Rambunctious laughter and shouts could be heard from inside.
A bracelet fell to the floor.
The pirate stepped up to the Tavern entrance.
The four boys in dresses ran for it.
“What the—hey!” shouted Kangin, not moving fast enough to grab onto Eeteuk’s arm.
“Wait, let them go,” said Yunho, watching the boys run away. “This is better, isn’t it? We’ll just tell the crew that they got lost, and that we found their dead bodies later. There’s no way sissies like them would survive on this island anyways.”
“Unless someone from the crew spots them and brings them back to the ship,” said Yoochun to his mates. “Then this trip would have been useless.”
“So what’re we gonna do?” asked Kyuhyun.
The question remained unanswered as the boys disappeared from the Elite’s view.

“What do we do now?” asked Junsu, latching on worriedly to Jaejoong’s arm. “This place creeps me out.”
Sungmin glared and hissed at every scumbag that looked their way, arms up and ready to fight.
“Well, at least we don’t look too suspicious,” muttered Eeteuk, watching various women walk by them. “I just need to find someone who’ll take us back home.”
“Even if we find someone with a ship, how can we possibly pay for the ride?” asked Jaejoong skeptically.
“Oh, don’t worry about that,” said Eeteuk, grinning, “I stole some money back when we were on the pirate ship.”
They had wandered to a darker part of town (though the majority of the island was bathed in darkness) and pirates clad with women were jostling around everywhere. The town never seemed to go to sleep.
“Hey there honey~”
Junsu screamed when a pair of arms wrapped around his waste and pulled him away from Jaejoong.
Sungmin turned and lashed out at the drunken pirate. A single kick to the head was all he needed to send the man flying backwards.
But there were more of them.
“This one’s a looker!” exclaimed another haggard man, grabbing Jaejoong by the wrist. “Come on—how much for you?”
Two tipsy pirates had Eeteuk in their arms, pulling the boy away from the group. Another pirate had grabbed Junsu around the waist and was dragging away.
“Guys! I can’t keep up with all of you!” shouted Sungmin angrily, trying to fight off all the pirates at once. He ran after Junsu, the closest, but looked back when Eeteuk screamed. Jaejoong was wriggling in his captor’s grasp.
“Sungmin! Behind you!” shouted Eeteuk.
But the boy was too caught up trying to keep track of his friends. He barely had time to look back when the metal pole made contact with his legs.
The boy in pink fell to the floor.
“Stop it!” shouted Junsu, tears starting to fall from his eyes. But the men continued to beat Sungmin to the floor. Another pirate covered his mouth, preventing him from screaming.
The brutes strapped Sungmin’s arms to his back and stuffed a gag into his mouth.
A large pirate picked Sungmin up off the floor and slung him over his shoulder. “If you don’t stop moving, I’ll kill ya!”
“I’m sorry, but I do believe that’s my job.”
A switchblade was stabbed into the large pirate’s shoulder.
Sungmin fell, but was swiftly caught by another.
Kyuhyun pointed his small blade at the rogue pirate.
“Get out of my sight, lest you wish to die,” he said with an icy glare.
The pirate, about four times the size of Kyuhyun, growled and charged at the Elite.
Kyuhyun swiftly moved in and stabbed the other in the chest, at x-marks-the-heart.
Yunho’s long sword stabbed through the pirate’s arm, and fingers released Jaejoong from their grasp. The Elite stabbed his sword into the ground, the other pirate’s arm still pierced by it.
“So now I have a question,” said Yunho to the suffering man with a blade stabbed into his right arm, “Do you like your left arm?”
The man began to blubber like an idiot.
“Thought so,” smirked Yunho, yanking his sword from the flesh. The man screamed, and fled once he had the chance.
“God, do you ever stop crying?”
Yoochun’s twin katanas pierced through the small gang of men surrounding Junsu.
He showed no mercy. Every pirate within a five feet radius of him dropped to the floor, splattered with blood and dead.
Junsu, completely shocked, fell to the floor.
Kangin bashed the two pirates’ heads together and held his pistols to both their foreheads.
“Now, I suggest that if you’d like to keep your heads on your shoulders, you run on the count of three,” said the Captain, guns clicking. “…Three.”
The lowlifes bolted.
Kangin grinned.
He watched as various members of his crew surrounded the remaining rogue pirates and slashed them to pieces.
Eeteuk stared from his position on the ground.
“Why did you save me?”
A pistol was shoved in front of his face.
“The only one who’s going to kill you is me,” said the Captain.
He twirled the guns with his fingers and returned them to his belt.
“But now’s not the time.”
He held out a hand to the boy on the floor.
“The crew is watching.”
Eeteuk was still slightly stunned.
“Oh—right,” he mumbled, taking Kangin’s hand and letting the taller man pull him up.
“Are you okay?” asked Yunho, helping Jaejoong off the ground.
“Since when did you care?” snapped Jaejoong, sour that he had to be grateful for being saved by the pirate, “I have you the bruise on your cheek, remember?”
Yunho scowled.
“You know, just because I hate you doesn’t mean I can’t be friendly,” he said.
“Well then you must be the greatest kind of imbecile,” replied Jaejoong.
“Don’t use big words!”
“Please, stop crying.”
Yoochun offered a handkerchief to the blonde boy, but after no response, preceded to wipe Junsu’s tears himself.
Junsu sniffed and looked up at the pirate.
“Why are you being so nice?” he asked.
“I just can’t stand it when people cry…” mumbled Yoochun, “It doesn’t mean I care or anything, it’s just irritating me.”
He tucked the handkerchief into Junsu’s hand.
“Try not to cry when you’re around me.”
Kyuhyun held the smaller boy in his arms.
“Wake up, asshole,” growled the Elite, jostling Sungmin a bit.
But the boy didn’t respond.
Kyuhyun looked to the other Elite’s and the rest of the crew.
“We need to go back to the ship,” he ordered, “Now.”

They were back on the ship.
Eeteuk was so frustrated—he could have strangled something. Not only did his plan fail, but he had also put his friends in danger.
Not to mention the fact that he had to be thankful to those damned Elite.
He, Jaejoong, and Junsu sat in the library, empty of pirates.
They had been locked inside.
Kyuhyun ran his fingers over the various labels naming the poisons on his massive shelves filled with small glass vials.
A voice sounded from the doorway.
“Why don’t you let him die?”
Kyuhyun grabbed one of the vials of poison from the shelf and turned to face the Captain.
“If he dies, you’ll be free,” said Kangin, arms crossed and leaning on the frame of the door. “Isn’t that what you wanted?”
The younger pirate kept his emotionless expression.
“I don’t know what I want,” he said, walking past the Captain. “I’m just doing what I feel like doing.”
(x)(x)(x)
Eeteuk looked up at the sound of the door opening.
Three of the Elite walked in.
Kangin, Yunho, and Yoochun sat across from the pretty boys, on the opposite couch.
“What were you doing?”
Eeteuk frowned at Kangin’s question.
“What are you talking about?”
Kangin threw one of the couch pillows at Eeteuk’s face.
“You deliberately ran away from us when I told you the island wasn’t safe!” he shouted, fuming with anger.
“So why are you upset?” questioned Eeteuk, standing up and throwing the pillow back at the pirate, “Since when did you care?!”
“WHY IS EVERYONE ACUSING ME OF CARING?!” shouted Kangin, standing up as well, “I do not care about your welfare whatsoever!”
“One of the crew had told us you were being attacked,” said Yoochun to the three boys, “It was only custom that we had to save you. If the crew had seen us just let you die, they’d have gotten suspicious.”
“We had no choice,” added Yunho, arms crossed. He glared at Jaejoong. “And I am not an imbecile!”
Jaejoong stuck his tongue out at the pirate.
“Well, there’s nothing we can do about it now,” said Yoochun, “We’re all back on the ship, and it’ll be setting sail in the morning. I doubt you’ll try running away without your friend, am I right?”
“Is Sungmin okay?” asked Junsu, worried. “He…he got beat up really bad.”
Kangin headed to the doorway.
“He’s lucky Kyuhyun’s a good person,” said the Captain, before leaving the library.
(x)(x)(x)
Sungmin groaned.
His body hurt all over.
He opened his heavy eyelids.
Kyuhyun was leaning over him, dabbing at his cheek with something cool and moist.
“What…what are you doing?” mumbled Sungmin, jaw feeling as if it had been displaced, and roughly snapped back together. He sat up in the bed, pain shooting through his entire upper body. His legs dangled off the side of the mattress.
“Just shut up,” said Kyuhyun, placing his tools onto a nearby table and picking up a different vial of liquid. “I’ve cleaned your wounds and set your leg into a splint—it’s not broken, but deeply bruised. I inserted a poison into your leg to hasten the healing process.”
Sungmin simply sat and stared, watching as Kyuhyun knelt down and checked the wraps around his purpling leg. He couldn’t move—every time he tried a jolt of pain would course through his body.
“Drink this,” said Kyuhyun, bringing the vial to Sungmin’s lips. “It’ll take away the pain.”
The boy kept his mouth firmly shut and shook his head.
“Look, I swear I’m not trying to poison you—this is good poison. It’ll only number the feeling in your arms and legs so you won’t have to feel the pain,” said Kyuhyun, trying to force the drink into Sungmin.
But the boy refused.
Kyuhyun slammed his fist against one of the bedposts near Sungmin’s head.
“God damn! You’re so—argh!”
He brought the vial to his own lips and filled his mouth with the poison.
Then forced his lips onto Sungmin’s.
The boy was shocked. He swallowed the entirety of the poison that came from Kyuhyun’s mouth in a single go.
Then he ripped himself away from Kyuhyun and coughed, eyes filling with tears at the fiery sensation running down his throat.
But the feeling settled, and Sungmin could sense the pain going away.
He looked up at Kyuhyun, whose face was unbearably close to his own.
“…why?” he asked; tired and weary from the day’s events. “Why are helping me?”
A hint of emotions finally appeared on the boy’s face. The pirate looked confused.
“I don’t even know,” he stammered, tangling his hands into his hair, “When I saw you…when you wouldn’t wake up-”
His head fell into Sungmin’s lap.
“That was the most amount of fear I have ever felt in my life.”
-chapter ten:
Sorry for the lateness (again) =___= I don’t have any promises as to an update for the next chapter. Hopefully I can write a bunch more before I leave for 2 months for a trip during the summer starting at the end of June.
